Resale Certificate Request




What is a Resale Certificate?

Under the Texas Property Code chapter 207, a Resale Certificate discloses information about property owners' associations. A Resale Certificate is a document prepared by the Home Owners Association specific to a property within its boundaries. The certificate includes such information as any outstanding debt owed to the Association, any pending lawsuit with the Association, any violation of the deed restrictions for the property, foreclosure information, the Association's budget and expenditures, and bylaws and restrictions.

Fees

Buffalo Heights Resale Certificate $375

Buffalo Heights West Initial Resale Certificate initial $75.00/ $200 after.

The only entity authorized to issue resale certificates is the HOA.

Resale Certificate(s) may be requested by the property owner, owner’s agent, title insurance company, or an agent acting on behalf of the owner. Certificates are issued within ten (10) business days (14 calendar days) of receiving a complete written request WITH PAYMENT. Buffalo Heights Homeowners Association will provide the certificate only to the party requesting it. Payment will not be processed until the certificate is available for delivery. Resale Certificate fees for Buffalo Heights and Buffalo Heights West are not refundable.

Updated Resale Certificate $75

Requests for an updated resale certificate must be made within 180 days of the issue date of the original resale certificate. The update request is issued within ten (10) business days (14 calendar days) of receiving a complete written request WITH PAYMENT.

Buffalo Heights Homeowners Association will provide the updated certificate to the original party requesting it. Payment will not be processed until the certificate is available for delivery. Updated Resale Certificate fees for Buffalo Heights and Buffalo Heights West are not refundable.
